Yes we can - say “Autumn”!
One of the advantages of a blog is that it can act like a diary of seasons, weather and events.
It’s not quite a month since the last post where I was detecting the first glimmers of Autumnal weather. That, after a hot dry summer with forest fires in adjacent valleys destroying a lot of the nature in the area.
Having just been in the cabin sorting things out after the last people from a commercial website just left it like it was a fully staffed hotel with cleaners 24/7, (don’t talk to me 😬), I can confirm that Autumn is here!
Early stages but it’s here.

Chestnuts on the trees, waiting for the real Autumn winds to bring food to the forest floors.
Mushrooms even - signalling that more are waiting underground for some rains before showing their caps.
The cabin is blocked from taking bookings from commercial websites until next summer - meaning it’s open for you to visit before I close it down for the winter, mid November.
